Floor Heating
Floor heating is based on heating cables, mats or foils, which are installed into the floor structure. The heating energy moves to the floor covering. A half of the energy is transmitted as heat radiation to the walls, ceiling, and furniture of the room, which in turn give the energy further to the air. The other half is transferred directly to the air.
Floor heating can be charging or continuous.
Charging Floor Heating
|
Charging floor heating stores the heating energy in the floor structure. When the less expensive night tariff becomes valid in the evening, the heating is turned on. A thermostat measures the floor temperature and turns the heating off, when the preset temperature value is reached. In the morning, the heating is turned off, and the floor structure acts as a heating appliance until the evening. The optimal heaters for charging floor heating are ASMI TXLP heating cables. |

Continuous Floor Heating
|
Continuous floor heating is active throughout the day. The heating energy is not charged in floor structures but released directly into the room. Heating cables, mats and foils are optimal heaters for charging floor heating. |

Control
Floor heating is controlled with a floor thermostat that measures the floor temperature. If also ceiling heating is used, the best result is achieved with a combination thermostat, which measures also the ambient temperature.
